You already know the results of the KF2 class from our previous article, now the complete story...

For those who may not know mate means 'friend', especially in Australia, and the term applies well to Josh who would probably rank friend no 1 if a poll were to be conducted in the Thai karting community. But now Josh is also the fastest on the track, he won the first 2 rounds of the KF2 class in the SKT Championship...

The three drivers of the Asia Racing Team are familiar to you: Luca Ferigutti, Sandy Stuvik and Tin Sritrai! The Asian Formula Renault had its Winter Cup last weekend in Zhuhai just north of Macau with two non-championship races (the first point races of the season's 14 rounds will be in May). And the Asia Racing Team proved very competitive...

Already round 3 of the WSK Euro Series last weekend in Zuera and a confirmation of the super form of the Vortex Super KF engines in the first part of the 2010 season.

Just look at the results. Round 2's final in Lonato last month saw Armand Convers win with his Kosmic/Vortex in front of Ardigo and Catt (Tony Kart/Vortex). And if it had not been for a young prodigy named Nick De Vries the Kosmic/Tony Kart/Vortex domination in Zuera would have been total. Check the results...

We have received a notification co-signed by Khun Deo (KAT National) and Khun Kitti (SKT) to the effect that:

• Round 2 of SKT is confirmed at Bira on April 24-25,
• Round 3 of SKT and Round 3 of National have been moved. The new dates: SKT R3 on June 26, National R3 on June 27, both races at Saraburi on the same weekend.
• Round 4 of National will be on July 24, Round 4 of SKT has been moved to July 25, both races at Bira on the same weekend.

This is quite a big change not only for the dates of the events but also in terms of logistics as joint official practices will probably take place on the Fridays preceeding the races. There is no mention of round 3 of the Thai Open which was to be held on June 12-13 with National R3, so we will have to wait for more information.

The first round of the CIK-FIA European Championship for the KZ1 and KZ2 classes took place last weekend in Sarno, Italy. In the absence of the Tony, CRG and Birel official teams Intrepid dominated the KZ1 races and Energy the KZ2 races. Franco Reyes visited Thailand last weekend to race in the Thai Open Series. This gave us an opportunity to update his driver profile. And we have found 2 more pics from the Philippines...

It was a warm racing weekend at Bira. 34 degrees in the shade, which means much more on the track. And it was a pleasant weekend as well, a heart warming exercise indeed because it is always nice to meet friends again and to watch the young tiny ones start their karting career with enthusiasm. There were 14 of them in the Baby Rok, Mini Rok, Super Cadet and Yamaha Cadet classes and we will start our article with them...

You will need to be at least 50 years old to know the song by Pete Seeger that became an icon in the 1960s. Where have all the flowers gone? long time passing... Our version is where have all the go-kart drivers gone? Long time Pasin...

Yes, where have Sandy Stuvik and Tin Stritrai gone? They will be racing this season in Formula Renault Asia. In Europe where have Carlos Sainz Jr and Daniil Kvyat gone? They will join the Formula BMW Europe series.

And where has Pasin gone? There was a party yesterday at Siam Paragon to make an announcement, a beautiful party with his friends, and he has many. Check our slideshow...

Busy weekend spent at re-building the race calendars. Five categories (Thai Championships, AKOC, CIK-FIA, WSK and Formula 1) and 2 options in the top menu bar. One gives you all races (categories are mixed) in chronological order starting with the coming event. The second one gives you calendars per category.

Plus we have activated our video module (scroll down it is at the bottom of the Home Page, we started with a YouTube video showing Senna in Paris long time ago. He was racing against De Cesaris, Prost and Panis). We will just have to buy a D300S and we will be able to feed videos of the races we cover. Isn't that exciting?

AND WE HAVE UPDATED AROUND 80 THAI CHAMPIONSHIP DRIVER PROFILES (plus Pasin's one, see you on Tuesday Pasin)

All drivers who participated in the first round of Thai National/Thai Open now have a 2010 pic in their profile. And the results for the first round of National/Thai Open/SKT/RMC have been included. We have also created several new profiles (for a total of 140 drivers in that section!)

and many more! But that section of Karting Photography will be even better if you send us your updated info, we may have missed something!

Nice to hear from Ryan Mumford and Aldi Rizky Agustian who both sent us an update for their driver profile. Ryan is back to AKOC for the 2010 season which is great. Aldi wants to be the AKOC Champion (as Ryan does, most probably).

By convincing us to go to the Macau Asia-Pacific Championship in 2007 Mike Ord triggered a process that led to the creation of KartingPhotography.
